I have spent the afternoon packing and Oh. My. God. I am bringing so much stuff home and almost no clothes for myself. I even had to abandon the idea of using my small suitcase and go for the mediumsized one. The funny thing is, or maybe not so funny, is that on my way back to Sheffield my few items of clothing will be rattling around on their own.

It'll be fun though - I'll see my niece Alma for the first time tomorrow and on Saturday we're going to Markaryds marknad - an annual fair I used to go to every single year with my grandfather. I bought some special candy and he bough smoked eels and cream-buns (graddbullar - see picture) and all the other silly stuff that a fair sells.

Going to Markaryds Markand is one of my most vivid [and treasured] childhood memories as it was just my grandfather and I. He was my hero and could it get any better than spending a day in the company of a hero and eating as many graddbullar as I wanted?!

I haven't been for probably over 15 years so it'll be interesting but mark my words - I'm buying a huge box of graddbullar, and as Alma is too young to eat any - I'm having hers too!
