We went up to Newcastle last Friday to visit Boyfriend's niece who's in hospital -she's been very poorly but seems to be (knock on wood...) getting better. She's so adorable and it's difficult to see her not being herself but hopefully she'll be up and about when her little cousin's popped out.

Newcastle was, what we had time to see as we were there less than 24 hours, nice and I really like how they've kept some of the really old buildings instead of just replacing them with some hopeless modern ones that'll look rubbish within 10 years. I'd definitely like to go back at some point. The only problem was, like any other city in this godforsaken country, it's damned impossible to find your way around it [by car] unless you live there.

We also, of course, stopped by IKEA and bought some stuff and ate some food. Shit, I just remembered I couldn't eat my mazarin after my food so I popped it in my handbag - Guess what's still there??

Maybe it's still edible - could kill for one, actually.
