One of Boyfriend's old house mates got engaged yesterday. As it was bank holiday most of us had a day off and J took the opportunity to bring G out to the Peaks and there he proposed with a huge ring. She said yes and apparently they'll get married next August and what a wedding that will be!
G is the only daughter and having an Indian background means it will be quite a big deal, perhaps more so than for the "average" British girl. J is the typical British guy, ginger and doesn't like to be at the centre of attention but I guess he has surrendered to the fact that he will have to ride in on a horse and dance in front of everyone... Can it get any better than that?!
They're both genuinely nice people and I'm really happy for them and I know G has been waiting for this for a loooong time. Congratulations J & G!
