I was just on the phone to Boyfriend - we're both excited over our holiday in October (more about that later) - and I was looking out over the river when there was 'something' jumping out of the water and land with a big splash.
Me: Ohhh! A fish! I just saw a fish jump!
Boyfriend: where?
Me: In the river.
Boyfriend: In the Don? What will be next?
Me: Flying pigs?
Boyfriend? Eh, what? Oh yeah!
Me: It was sort of flesh-coloured. Maybe it was an arm of a body that got stuck on the bottom and sort of went "snap".
Boyfriend: Well that's just as likely as a fish
Me: Probably more likely than a fish. *giggle*
Boyfriend: Mmmm, absolutely - did you find my squash racquet? ....
So not only do we find it "normal" thinking there might be a body in the river but we're more concerned about our game of squash tonight. This place is so not good for me...
