Why oh why?

Have just finished watching "The Interpretor" and it was really good despite the bad reviews I've read. I'm home alone and thought I'd watch it as I never get to choose it when Boyfriend is at home. He is currently out on the town with his fellow team-mates (footie) as today was the last game of the season. YEAY! The fact that the next season starts in 2 weeks is a completely different matter and a very depressing one at that.

There are times when I look at him and think "How is it possible for 2 so different people to love each other the way we do?". We don't listen to the same music, we don't watch the same movies, we've just managed to agree on 2 paintings for the flat (1 year after agreeing on the 2 first ones so we've got 2 walls covered now...), we most certainly do not appreciate the same kind of sport.

Boyfriend is all footie, footie, fooootie! And I'm more of a "footie? Quick, hand me a bucket so I can throw up...Booooring!" etc etc. I can, however, watch the odd international game (country vs. country) and then sort of enjoy it. So I consider myself to be a v e r y good girlfriend as I come to almost all of Boyfriend's little league games. It makes him happy...

Whatever subject or topic you can think of - - well, Boyfriend and I would most certainly not agree with one another. I get excited about new cleaning products - he didn't even know how to work the hoover when I moved in... He's not a country boy. Well, neither am I but I am a country girl. I love animals, he's mostly afraid of them but will, for my sake, let me have a couple of dogs. He is not argumentative whereas I sometimes need to argue. He is calm and rational. I am hyper and have no sense of logic whatsoever. He saves money. I spend it and I am ever so good at it too!

And so the list goes on... But there is something we do have in common and that is (cheese factor coming up so stop reading if you don't like this sort of stuff!!): We make each other laugh and despite his obsession with football and music - there's no one else I'd rather be with or anyone else that I could possible love as much. And that's got to count for something, don't you think?

But the backhair has got to go!

Yeah that's nice, rub it in why don't you you bloody happy person. No, I'm happy for you both and it's nice to hear that you can love someone even though you're complete opposites - gives me a little hope. I'm starting to give up... But that's just because I'm angry right now- - had an over-the-phone fight with young D yesterday and that made me think about my pathetic love life.
Anyway, best of luck to you both and hope the backhair goes away :-)
